DeAnne Post began dancing at age 5 with the Dorothy Thomas School of Dance in Topeka, Kansas, and studied 13 years with that studio. Since then, she has added the following accomplishments to her dance resume:
Awarded 25 regional, state, and national titles for talent, beauty, and fitness. Barbizon Modeling diploma 1978.
1980 April performance London, England, Wembley Stadium, for Her Majesty the Queen of England.
Studied four years under Roni Mahler, Head of Dance Department, Kansas State University. Earned Bachelor of Science degree in Dance from KSU, diploma in 1983.
Professional experience includes fifteen years in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties teaching for private dance schools, recreation departments, and civic groups.
Member of the Cecchetti Council of America.
Regularly attend regional workshops for professional dance teachers including the East Coast Committee of the Cecchetti Council’s ballet seminar at the University of Maryland, and the MusicWorks 3 day seminar (Al Gilbert inspired) in Tysons Corner, VA.
Liturgical Dance Team Coordinator for middle and high school youth at Covenant United Methodist Church, Montgomery Village, MD (1990-2010).
Vacation Bible School Skit/Music/Dance Coordinator for Covenant U. M. C.
